where the wild things are

Here's a sample of how the book Where the Wild Things Are would be used in a program:

Children follow Max on a journey to Where the Wild Things Are, then create a mural of an enchanted forest complete with life-like silk leaves, flowers, animal stickers, and their own drawings using crayons and markers. Children learn the art of creating an ensemble as they complete this group project.

The children design and create their own ‘wild thing' masks using paper plates, feathers, and jewels to take home.
